Extreme JavaScript Performance


I just read the slides of Thomas Fuchs, for those who do not know is one of the JavaScript Guru’s.
Thomas beyond to being the creator of Script.aculo.us Javascript Library, is core member of Prototype Library, and last week announced the Scripty2.
The Scripty2 is nothing more than the actual Script.aculo.us but completely rewritten and optimized.

Well, in these slides Thomas deals with various topics interesting and helpful for all of us Javascript programmers.
It gives tips on what to avoid, and what is advisable to do in Javascript, looking for performance.
For all the code samples he made a comparison between the browsers showing the average running time on each one, very interesting.
